A place for teaching and learning about multimedia technology
The Technology Resource Center is a hands-on digital media facility for students and faculty. Specialized equipment and software are available, along with friendly, knowledgeable technical support and consultation. Our goal is to provide WKU students and faculty the resources to create outstanding digital multimedia projects to support teaching, learning, and academic class work.
Appointments are encouraged. Call Josh Marble, Technology Consultant at 270.745.3755 to schedule your visit. We are also open for unscheduled walk-in users, but you will not be guaranteed a seat nor the exact training you might require based on the availability of staff. Bring a plan for your project, a valid WKU ID, and media to save your work. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am til 4:30pm.

Faculty, staff and students can choose from a wide range of equipment available at no charge for short term rental from the TRC. Walk-ins are welcome, however reservations are highly recommended to ensure you get what you need when you need it. Our online reservation system can be accessed here.
What can I do in the TRC?
The Technology Resource Center is a place for teaching and learning about multimedia technology. We are open for academic and instructional projects of all types. Faculty members can bring class groups (by appointment) to learn to use multimedia equipment and software for instructional assignments in video, audio, or digital graphics. Students can take advantage of the resources in the TRC to create graphics or media for class projects. Instructors can use the equipment in the Center to develop streaming video, streaming audio, or web graphics for online courses or for instructional web sites. Digital camera equipment is available for loan, and scanners are set up for digital imaging. We have studio software for design of digital graphics, either for print or for the web. We also offer to faculty the capability to duplicate CDs and DVDs, with printed labels in black and white or color, at high speed. If you have any questions about our software, hardware or equipment, please call Josh Marbleat 270.745.3755.
