NetID Accounts

All faculty, staff and students are issued a NetID.  Your NetID account is currently used to access the WKU Portal and is the userid for Active Directory .  Your NetID will eventually replace your LDAP account and will be used as a universal login ID for most WKU computer applications and online services.  Using your NetID to login to the Portal gives you access to many applications like TopNet, Webmail, and Blackboard without having to login to each one individually.   This is called SSO (Single Sign-on).

As WKU transitions to the NetID as a universal login and eliminates other Userids, it is especially important that you manage and protect your NetID and password.  Your NetID password will expire periodically and you will be required to pick a new password.   Please be careful with your NetID and password.  Do not share your NetID or password with anyone and report it immediately to the IT Help Desk if you suspect your NetID or password have been compromised. Security is everyone's responsibility

If you don't know your NetID account password, please use the "I Forgot My NetID Password" link below.
