The Wireless Project:

In July of 2004, Network Computing & Communications began full-scale testing of numerous technologies surrounding wireless networking. Research and testing was performed with the goal of building the wireless network to balance ease of use, security, and flexibility for the WKU community. At the end of this process, we began selecting and installing the products to provide wireless services to the pilot building, Mass Media & Technology Hall, and ultimately to the rest of the campus.

The WKU Wireless Project is an extensive undertaking. Each of the proposed Administrative and Academic buildings require considerable resources for planning and implementation. Working with several campus organizations, we have developed a building schedule that attempts to address everyone's wants and desires. The following table will be continually updated to reflect the current schedule of the project.
