WKU's Interactive Video Services (IVS) Department provides a variety of video conferencing technologies, allowing WKU faculty, staff, and students increased communication and collaboration capabilities, while reducing the cost and time of travel.

Services

Interactive Video Classrooms:  The IVS Department provides specially designed interactive video classrooms to facilitate distance learning courses to each of WKU's Regional Campus locations. Our efforts in scheduling, training, and trouble-shooting InteractiveVideo (IVS) classes are intended to promote and improve the educational experiences and opportunities for faculty, students, and staff.

Video Conferencing Rooms:  IVS has designed and installed several video conference rooms on WKU's Bowling Green campus. These video conference rooms are available, for a fee, allowing faculty, administrators, and staff to attend meetings, collaborate with colleagues, or interview job candidates, without leaving Bowling Green.

Desktop Video Conferencing:  IVS completed the pilot phase of the new Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional this Spring 2009 Term! This new capability will allow WKU contituents to connect globally, without leaving their desk!

Desktop Video Courses:  Using the new Acrobat Connect Professional system, faculty will be able to teach from their desktop computer to students who will receive the content via their computer, at any location, while still maintaining synchronous communication!

To learn more about any of these exciting capabilities, all of which are GREEN technologies - saving departments time and money while reducing WKU's global footprint - please contact the IVS Department at:
