Departmental Computing Lab Support
Many departments at WKU have created specialized departmental computer labs for their students. These are labs that have been funded and managed by a department, with special computing requirements and software, and restricted access for the department's classes and students. The Departmental Lab Support group offers a wide variety of services to departments running these labs.
The Departmental Lab Support group, located on the first floor of Tate Page Hall, can provide maintenance, management, setup, and consulting services for departmental labs across campus, at any department's request. The primary focus is developing new solutions and customizing the lab environment for departmental labs. The Departmental Lab Support group currently supports 36 departmental labs with more than 700 computers across campus.
This site summarizes services available, along with a partner department's responsibilities. The information here will be useful to any departments that currently own and manage their own labs or computer classrooms, plan to create a new instructional lab, or need support and maintenance with an existing lab.
Departmental Lab Support is a service of Academic Technology, which also manages the general-use Student Technology Centers across campus.
