Our mission is to work as an integral member of the Intramural-Recreational Sports Department team to serve the students, faculty and staff members of Western Kentucky University. Our primary duty is to promote personal health and fitness on campus through the provision of regular fitness promotions and professional services.

Cycle Fit
Time: 6:10am - 7:00am
Location: Preston Center Dance Studio
This 50 minute non-stop cycling class will have you climbing to new heights in your quest for the best shape of your life. You will be coached through medium to high intensity terrains designed to take you to the next level of cardiovascular fitness, So bring your towels and water bottles. There are a limited number of bikes, first come first serve.
Power Pump
Time: 11:45am - 12:30pm
Location: Dance Studio
This fun and energized class will alternate periods of upper and lower body strengthening with cardio "pumps" to give your entire body a workout packed in the lunch hour!
Gentle Yoga
Time: 6:00pm - 6:50pm
Location: Preston Center
Designed for participants interested in a slower, but equally effective, practice to loosen and strengthen muscles while calming the body and mind. This is the class for times of high stress or low energy, giving you an opportunity to safely build strength, mobility and balance – even if you’re healing from injury or illness. No yoga experience required.

Time: 4:30pm - 4:50pm
Location: Dance Studio
This 20-25 minute energized class will focus on strengthening your core and your lower back.
Remember all of our Group Fitness classes incorporate cadio, upper and lower body strengthening and core strengthening!!
This class has a maximum of 75 patrons.

Mixed Yoga

This mixed level class is for beginning and continuing participants in yoga. Instruction is the fundamentals of body alignment through basic yoga postures and introduction to more advanced standing, sitting, twisting, forward bending, back bending postures.
Aqua Fit
Time: 5:15pm - 6:15pm
Location: Pool
This class combines the benefits of aerobic conditioning with resistance training in the comfort of the water. You will do basic high and low impact movements along with abdominal toning and stretching exercises. Dumbbells and noodles are used during aerobic conditioning to increase your own intensity level.
Step/Kick
Time: 5:45pm - 7:00pm
Location: Dance Studio
This full body workout combines kicks and punches to improve balance, coordination, strength and endurance all while incorporating step aerobics into the overall workout! Come ready for a hard workout!
This class has a maximum of 75 patrons.

This class will have a mixture of cardio and toning exercises in a dynamic format to give a little taste of a traditional bootcamp class.

If you are new to cycling or need a refresher, this class will orientate you with the bikes by making sure you are properly fitted to your ride and knowledgeable of the new power console. THIS CLASS IS NOT A FULL WORKOUT, however there will be time for independent rides.
