Our mission is to work as an integral member of the Intramural-Recreational Sports Department team to serve the students, faculty and staff members of Western Kentucky University. Our primary duty is to promote personal health and fitness on campus through the provision of regular fitness promotions and professional services.

Rock Bottom

A toning class exclusively for hips, thighs, calves and buttocks.

This full body workout combines kicks and punches to improve balance, coordination, strength and endurance all while incorporating step aerobics into the overall workout! Come ready for a hard workout!

This mat based class offers strength and flexibility training with exercises created to strengthen abdominal and back muscles while developing pelvic stability and abdominal control.

Kick-N-Tone
Time: 11:45am - 12:30pm

A cardio class that combines upper body boxing movements with light dumbells to get a great cardiovascular workout. This class will also incorporate upper and lower body strengthening and core strengthening.
Gentle Yoga
Time: 4:00pm - 4:50pm
Location: Preston Center
Designed for participants interested in a slower, but equally effective, practice to loosen and strengthen muscles while calming the body and mind. This is the class for times of high stress or low energy, giving you an opportunity to safely build strength, mobility and balance – even if you’re healing from injury or illness. No yoga experience required.
Aqua Fit
Time: 5:15pm - 6:15pm
Location: Pool
This class combines the benefits of aerobic conditioning with resistance training in the comfort of the water. You will do basic high and low impact movements along with abdominal toning and stretching exercises. Dumbbells and noodles are used during aerobic conditioning to increase your own intensity level.
Aqua Fit
Time: 5:15pm - 6:15pm
Location: Pool
This class combines the benefits of aerobic conditioning with resistance training in the comfort of the water. You will do basic high and low impact movements along with abdominal toning and stretching exercises. Dumbbells and noodles are used during aerobic conditioning to increase your own intensity level.
Hip Hop Cardio

This class takes standard hi/lo aerobics moves and gives them a fun upbeat and urban flare! Set to the latest hip-hop music, this class will give you a total upper and lower body workout, strengthen and tighten your core all while giving you a cardio workout with a free dance lesson!

This fifty minute non-stop cycling class will have you climbing to new heights in your quest for the best shape of your life. You will enjoy rides that will feature specific cycling drills, out of the saddle training (standing postures), and high-energy sprints designed to take you to the next level of cardiovascular fitness. Towels and water bottles are highly recommended.

This toning class incorporates, not just your core, but also your upper and lower body with exercises on the stability ball. You will get a full body workout while engaging and improving your balance and stability.
Latin XPress

This high-energy class is a mix of Latin Dance and Body Sculpting Aerobic Intervals. You'll be having so much fun moving, you'll forget you're actually working out!
