
Weight Room / Fitness Room Policies
- No one under 14 years of age is permitted in the room, even as a spectator.
- No bags, coats, etc. are permitted in the weight room.
- No food or drink in the weight room, except water in sealed-top water bottles.
- Shirts and shoes must be worn. To ensure better hygiene and safety, proper attire must be worn at all times in the Preston Center. This includes unaltered t-shirts that fully cover the mid section. Sports bras should be worn underneath another shirt. This policy is required so all patrons, regardless of body shape and size, feel comfortable using our facility.
- No flip flops or sandals. No jeans or pants with belt loops.
- Collars should be used at all times in the free weight area. Spotters are highly recommended.
- Please re-rack all plates, bars, and dumbbells.
- Please do not move any equipment.
- Please do not touch the audio or video equipment. Ask the attendant for assistance.
- When the weight room is crowded, please limit time on the cardiovascular equipment to 20 minutes.
- Please ask the attendants for a demonstration if any questions arise.
- No gum or chewing tobacco.
- Do not stack any additional plates on the selectorized equipment.
- Dumbbells should not be moved from the black mat area, do not slam any weights on the tile floor.
- Please clean all machines after using.
- The fitness room is not continually supervised. Please exercise at your own risk.
- No weightbelts on upholstered seats and benches.
- Safety clips must be worn on treadmills at all times.
Pool Policies
- An emergency telephone is located in the lifeguard office. This phone is to be used by the Preston Center staff in emergency situations only.
- Admission is refused to all persons having contagious diseases, infectious conditons, under the influence of alcohol, or exhibiting erratic behavior.
- Food, drink, gum, or tobacco are not permitted.
- Running and rough play is prohibited.
- All shoes with the exception of flip flops or aqua socks are prohibited.
- Spitting and nose blowing is prohibited.
- Glass, soap, or other potentially hazardous materials are prohibited.
- No diving in the shallow water.
- >Use diving board with caution.
- One person on the diving board at one time.
- One bounce on the diving board.
- Dive/Jump straight off the end of the diving board.
- Exit the water by swimming out ot the lane line and then to the side of the pool as instructed by the lifeguard.
- No flotation devices or other equipment allowed on the diving boards.
- No inward dives or flips.
