Q Where do I drop off/pick up my child each day?
A Campers are to be dropped off on Court #3 of the Preston Center. They will also need to be picked up each afternoon on Court # 3.
Q My daughter is five years old however she will turn six this July. Can we sign her up for any of this summer's sessions?
A Your child must be at least six years old to sign up for a session. (Sorry, no exceptions).
Q Will my children have adequate supervision throughout the camp day? What certifications do the staff members have?
A Safety is our # 1 priority. Our campers get the care they deserve with a 8-to-1 camper-to-staff ratio. The CBR staff is a dedicated team certified in Child/Adult CPR, AED, and First Aid.
Q What should my child wear each day to camp?
A We recommend that all campers wear comfortable clothing such as a t-shirt, shorts, or any type of athletic wear. Campers must wear tennis shoes. NO sandles or flip flops. Parents will be notified prior to days in which we might get a little messy.
Q Can I pick up my child early from camp?
A Yes. However, the CBR staff cannot walk individual campers from scheduled events to meet those picking them up. Parents must make arrangements to pick up their children at the scheduled event location.
Q Is it okay if my child brings personal items such as a Gameboy, playing cards, jewelry, bracelets, etc.?
A We ask that campers do not bring any valuable or personal items with them to camp. These items could get lost or broken during the daily activities of Camp Big Red.
Q Is Camp Big Red fun?
A Absolutely!!! Whether it's art & crafts, playing games at DUC, or fun-filled field trips, Camp Big Red offers a wide variety of activities that can be enjoyed by all.
Q Where do the campers each lunch each day?
A Camp Big Red will eat at "Fresh Foods" located inside the Downing University Center (DUC) Mon-Thur. Fresh Foods provides a wide variety of healthy food options, which are prepared fresh for each individual. On Fridays, campers will eat lunch at the Preston Center.
Q Will campers be seperated into groups based on their age?
A No. We give campers the opportunity to develop teamwork skills, experience fun adventures, and create new friendships with all ages.
