Speed Limit Changes

Effective July 19th, 2013, the speed limit will be reduced to 15 mph on State Street and Normal Street between College Heights Blvd. and Regents Avenue.  In the spring, the City of Bowling Green transferred responsibility of this segment of roadway to the University.  This speed reduction is the first step of many to improve pedestrian safety along this corridor.  Additional phased improvements will include widening sidewalks, improving lighting, repaving, and upgrading crosswalks.
