Title

Assistant Director of Admissions and External Relations

My Role in the Honors College

I oversee the various recruitment and admission initiatives in the Honors College at WKU while working closely with other departments on campus to expose high-achieving students to the Honors College experience. I also work with the Coordinator of Constituent Relations to ensure our current students, parents of current students, and alumni groups are all engaged in the spirit of excellence!

Educational & Professional Background

I graduated Cum Laude from WKU in May 2008 with a B.A. in Corporate & Organizational Communication, with a minor in marketing, and a certificate in leadership studies. I am a Lifetime Member of the WKU Alumni Association and was nominated for Young Alumnus of the Year in 2010. Go TOPS! I recently completed my M.A. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville in December 2011. I worked in the WKU Office of Admissions as an Admissions Counselor based out of the Louisville territory for nearly four years and I am actively involved in Kentucky’s Association for College Admission Counseling (KYACAC).

What Brought me to the Honors College?

My passion for assisting students with the college search in-general coupled with my belief that the Honors College at WKU is the perfect fit for many prospective college students seeking a smaller community environment with the affordability, facilities, and resources of a robust public institution. Our university motto, the Spirit Makes the Master, is exemplified daily by the faculty, staff, and students in the Honors College at WKU.
