The Western Kentucky University Hall of Distinguished Alumni was established in 1992 by the WKU Alumni Association to honor WKU alumni who have made significant contributions to Western, their state and country.
A special committee accepts nominations and then makes recommendations to the Alumni Association's board of directors. The board then selects the three inductees for each class. Members of the new class are honored during an induction ceremony and luncheon held Homecoming week.
