Black Bag Format The Black Bag Format allows for more fish to be caught and weighed throughout a fishing tournament. Instead of having a total weight for the day fisherman can weigh every hour. This allows for more chances to win prizes and money. How it works: Every hour a fisherman can bring in a fish and get it weighed. Since the fish is in a black bag no other fisherman can see how big their fish is. The fisherman can keep the weight of the fish to themselves, creating more suspense until the end of the day when the weights and winners are announced. Fishermen will not know the winner until the awards ceremony.
