WKU Health Services welcomes you to our facility!

As a faculty/staff employee of WKU we encourage you to take full advantage of having access to a quality health care facility conveniently located on campus. The university employee health insurance plan is administered by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. WKU's health plan is a PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) and offers a large selection of network providers, which includes WKU Health Services. So the next time you or a family member is not feeling well call us and schedule an appointment.

Health Services currently has two board certified physicians, Allen Redden, MD, Internal Medicine and Patricia Blewett, MD, Family Medicine. Allan Wells, MD, Family Medicine, will begin as a full-time physician in November 2009. We also have a full-time nurse practitioner, Ta'Neka Vaden, WHANP. We have additional clincial and support staff who are important in helping our daily operations flow smoothly. If you are interested in becoming a regular patient at WKU Health Services or want to have see one of our physicians for a specific service, we will gladly work with your primary care provider to provide the best care for you.

Most of our visits are on a walk-in basis, but we recommend scheduling an appointment if possible. As a convenience, we can normally schedule an appointment the same day of your illness or have a provider see you in 2-3 days, depending on the severity of your illness. Most communty providers cannot accomodate patients as quickly as us, which a benefit to you as a faculty/staff employee of WKU.
