EXERCISE PRESCRIPTION SERVICES
A medical history form is required and certain individuals will need to get physician’s approval prior to beginning the service.
Beginner / Advanced Weight Training Orientation
Cost: Students $5.00; Faculty/Staff $10.00; Community $25.00
An individualized one time personal fitness consultation leading to the design of a personalized fitness program. Each client will be led through each component of the fitness program providing ample opportunity to ensure program comprehension.
Estimated Length: 60 Minutes
Included:
- Equipment/exercise orientation
- Personalized fitness program
- Exercise tracking sheet to record progress
Kick Start Program - 3 Sessions
Cost: Students $15.00; Faculty/Staff $25.00; Community $50.00
A comprehensive individualized introduction to weight training and/or exercise. Kick Start Program is an extension of the Weight Training Orientation service.
Estimated length of each session – 60 Minutes
Session One
- Consultation and exercise prescription
- Equipment/exercise orientation
Session Two
- Personal training session including detailed supervision and instructions
through the personalized program
- Client will receive a copy of the fitness program and exercise tracking sheet
Session Three
- Consultation and program revision
- Personal training session
Total Fitness Package - 5 Sessions
Cost: Students $20.00; Faculty/Staff $30.00; Community $50.00
The Total Fitness Package is a combination of two services into one (Basic Fitness
Assessment and the Kick Start Program). It is a long term service which includes an
initial fitness assessment, three exercise consultation / training sessions, and a
final fitness assessment.

- Basic Fitness Assessment

- Equipment/exercise orientation – thorough explanation of the program,
instruction on how to use the equipment and correct lifting technique
Session Three
- Personal training session – detailed supervision and instruction through the personalized program

Fitness Center Equipment Orientation
Cost: Students FREE; Faculty/Staff FREE; Community FREE
This free service is a 45 minute long introduction to cardio and strength training equipment in the Fitness Center. It provides you with a demonstration how to use equipment safely and effectively. You will receive a general strength training program and a tracking sheet.
