Here's what you can expect to receive:
- Notifications of our new shows in the star chamber. These topics change every five to six weeks. Three times a year, we look at stars in that night's sky with a full-dome show. During the rest of the year we feature shows on special topics in astronomy. Keep abreast of the latest developments in astronomy at these family-friendly presentations appropriate for all ages, but with enough advanced information to appeal to the avid astronomer as well. - Notification of special events. From time to time the Planetarium hosts special events for the public. Celebrations such as June, 2012's Venus Transit Party, or August 6th, 2012's Curiosity Touchdown Celebration feature live video feeds, special star dome presentations, games, exhibits and more. These are fun-filled days, suitable for the entire family. Be the first to hear about and schedule your attendance at these exciting experiences.
- Special workshops and instruction camps. The Planetarium hosts guest presenters on occasion for the serious astronomy enthusiast. We also provide Astronomy Day Camps during school breaks for the interested youngster of any age. Get up-to-the-minute notifications of our special instructional happenings. - Notification of Special School Programs. If you are an educator or interested parent, you will want to know about our brand new initiative: traveling planetarium presentations which come right to your child's school. For more information on these, click here.
