Guest Speakers |
-
Thank you so much for coming out and being a speaker- we really appreciate your time.
-
Please try to be there 10 minutes before you scheduled time so that we can give a band that may be playing plenty of notice
-
Please come and find someone with a name tag and we will be sure to get you on the stage as close to your scheduled time as possible
-
We are looking for people to speak about the first Earth Day in 1970 and how things have changed since going green
-
We are also having members of the famous WKU Forensics team perform as well, so this should be a great day with great speakers.

Baking goods
|
-
Thank you so much for helping GreenToppers raise money by baking goods for our bake sale.
-
When you make your goods, please bring them down to South Lawn between 10:00-11:00 or as soon as you can. Please wrap items individually.
-
We should have a booth labeled “GreenToppers Bake Sale”.
-
Just bring them on over and we’ll be glad to take them!
-
Thank you so much.
-
Note: Many of our students are vegan. If you know of any vegan recipes- they are sure to be big hits! You are welcome to take back what doesn’t sell, but we expect for this to be a great success!!

Volunteer
|
Thank you so much for volunteering, this Earth Day Festival will not happen without you. We know you are busy and that’s why we appreciate your time.
-
On the day of, Tuesday, April 22 we will begin setting up on South Lawn around 9:00. From 9:00-4:00 we will need the bulk of the help.
-
When you are available, please come down to South Lawn and find Sara, Christian, Coby, Matthew, or anyone wearing a nametag.
-
From there, we will be able to tell you what we need the most help with. If you prefer to help businesses to their booths or prefer to be a go-fer, please let us know, we are happy to accommodate.
-
Remember, you are welcome to come and go throughout the day, so if you can only be there for 45 minutes, that’s fine- we still need you!

Off Campus Business
|
Thank you so much for being a part of this very special Earth Day at WKU. We appreciate your time and coming to campus. There are a couple of things to mention.
-
According to University policy, You cannot sell items for profit. Student organizations that are on campus are allowed to, sell for fundraising, but businesses of campus are not. You are encouraged to pass out information about your business/organization and any freebies that may attract visitors to your booth. You can sell your items and donate profits to GreenToppers.
-
GreenToppers will be supplying every booth with a table and chairs.
-
Directions: The event will be held at Western Kentucky University main campus on the South Lawn, next to Downing University Center (DUC), and accessed by the Avenue of Champions. As you travel down the Avenue of Champions, just past DUC on the left is a pull-through parking area. At the far end of this we will have an area blocked for loading and unloading and someone will be there to greet you and provide you with a visitor parking pass. After unloading, you may drive around and park in the Parking Structure #2. Once you get on South Lawn, a member of the hospitality committee will direct you to your table to set up.
-
-
Again, thank you for your time and patience. We are so excited about our festival this year and can’t wait to do it again next year!
-
If you have any questions or concerns, please email sara.ferguson422@wku.edu
