New Member Symposium
The New Member Symposium is held every September for the new members of the fraternity and sorority community. Members of the University and Bowling Green community have conducted presentations on:
- Knowing How to Spot Hazing
- Becoming Leaders on Campus
- Making the Most of Your Greek Experience
- The Friendship Factor
- Alcohol Use
- Sexual Responsibility
Greek Leadership Symposium:
The Greek Leadership Symposium is held every February for all members of the Greek community. A wide variety of topics are discussed ranging from career development, relationships, and leadership. Past presentations include:
- Why Do Couples Break Up?
- Being Responsible
- Sexual Health
- Healthy Relationships
- Dealing with Grief
- Membership Commitments
- Community Service
- Collaborative Programming
- Being a Prolific Leader
- Job Preparation: Getting the Job and Keeping It
Dynamic Leadership Institute
Dynamic Leadership Institute (DLI) is a program sponsored by the Office of Leadership and Volunteerism. While DLI is not exclusively for Greek members, a high percentage of Greeks take advantage of this opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills. The program is a semester long per phase, and usually meets 6-8 times per semester. Now piloting Phase 4 of the program, DLI is a program that is recommended to all Greeks because it helps develop and define young successful leaders.
