Please read the following information carefully to begin your academic transition.

Dr. Juanita Bayless
Associate Dean, Division of Extended Learning and Outreach
Director, WKU – Glasgow

There are three steps involved in preparing for an Academic Transitions Program at WKU – Glasgow:

  • Register for an Academic Transitions Program using TopNet.
  • Print the Math Placement Exam (MPE) review sheet and study for the MPE.
  • Take the online Math Placement Exam at least 4 days before your scheduled Academic Transitions Program date.

Students are required to complete the Math Placement Exam (MPE) before they can register for a math course. The MPE is timed, and is limited to 30 minutes. Students can only take the MPE once, so study first!

To take the Math Placement Exam, you will need the following:

  • Mozilla Firefox 3 as your web browser
  • High speed internet
  • WKU ID# (begins with “800”)
  • Enough time to read the instructions and take the exam in 30 minutes or less

If you do not have Mozilla Firefox 3 and/or a high speed internet connection, you are welcome to use the WKU - Glasgow Resource Room (room 231). The hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
