At The Center, we are passionate about providing services and support for gifted learners, their families, and their educators. If you are a student, teacher, parent, administrator, advocate – The Center has resources for all friends of gifted learners.


The Challenge , our award-winning magazine, provides insight into gifted education with articles focused on gifted theory, our programming, and the impact gifted education can have on our communities, our nation and even our world.

 
The Kentucky Association for Gifted Education, KAGE , and other state organizations are some of the best friends of gifted learners. Please join your state association and become an advocate for gifted learners and gifted education in your area. Members of KAGE receive a quarterly newsletter filled with information about opportunities, advocacy, parenting, and teaching young people who are gifted and talented. Members also receive reduced rates for workshops and conferences.


The National Association for Gifted Children,
 NAGC , has a parent associate membership that allows parents to receive ‘Parenting for High Potential’ magazine for $25. Members receive four issues a year and have the opportunity to be a part of an international network of parents and professionals working to promote gifted education.

 
Imagine… Opportunities and Resources for Academically Talented Youth , is a marvelous resource for gifted and talented 7th to 12th graders published by The John Hopkins University Press for the Study of Exceptional Talent at the Institute for the Academic Advancement of Youth.


Prufrock’s Gifted Education Blog , written by Joel McIntosh of Prufrock Press and Gifted Child Info. by Carol Fertig offer informative articles, book chapters, listings of upcoming gifted education events, and links to other important gifted education websites.


Council for Exceptional Children , provides information and resources about all children with exceptionalities, including those who are gifted and talented.

 
Educational Consulting Service , based on Susan Winebrenner’s work Teaching Gifted Kids in the Regular Classroom, this site provides practical, much needed information for educators of gifted learners.


Gifted Exchange , written by Laura Vanderkam co-author of Genius Denied: How to Stop Wasting Our Brightest Young Minds, this blog focuses on gifted children, schooling, parenting, education news and changing American education for the better.


GiftedSources.com is a portal to high quality, interactive, web based educational content for gifted and talented students. Site content areas are built on the Kentucky Core Content for Assessment.


GT-World provides a world full of resources for parents of gifted children. Join one of their informative mailing lists: GT-Families, for families of gifted children; GT-Special, for families of twice exceptional children; GT-Adult, for gifted adults, and GT-Talk, for discussions.


Hoagies’ Gifted Education consists of about 900 pages of information on gifted children and adults, including 500+ pages of ERIC Clearinghouse for Disabilities and Gifted Education.


Dr. Sylvia Rimm’s Family Achievement Clinic and Educational Assessment Service, Inc. offers valuable insight into and assistance for underachieving young people who are gifted and talented.


Davidson Gifted Database features improved search capabilities for articles, resources and state policy pages to help students, parents and educators pinpoint a wealth of gifted information.
