Cauldron Journal 4

Arporp 35

Notes by Balthazar

OK, for some strange reason they have asked me to fill in the journal. First that fumbling mage, Cirlyn, summons me to save the party?s ass then they want me to write. OK here goes:

After killing the black dragon, we now have to deal with all these useless hostages. If they were useful why did they not kill their captors themselves rather then waiting for a group of adventures (Gods, I hate that term) to stumble across them?

We went down one hallway we had not been down. We found a group of dead koa-toa nailed to the wall, apparently sacrificed to their dark deity as we found a smaller version of the claw we saw in the main room. The old fool (I think he is some kind of cleric) was poking around the dead and apparently disturbed a ghost of some type. My axe made short work of it. I must admit it is not satisfying to feel your axe being stuck in some vaporous being. I much prefer the feel of my blade going through flesh.

After much exploring we found the dragon?s hoard chamber and finally we are getting some real loot.

We then went down a hall and the mage killed an undead beastie in rags
