Committee Info:
The Association has several committees with specific responsibilities. Members volunteer to become committee members and form the committee. A committee must have a minimum of two members. Each committee may elect a committee member as the chairperson with a simple majority of committee members. The term of a chair is one year unless otherwise specified by the committee. The chair-elect must be confirmed by the President. If the President is denying confirmation of a chair-elect the election is regarded null and void. In case no committee is formed, the President conducts the committee's responsibilities.
I. Members Event Planning and Marketing Committee: Responsible for organizing events, identifying activities and opportunities, and creating a marketing plan that builds a unified brand, helps in the recruitment of Members and encourages participation of Members in the Association's events.
II. IT and Web Design Committee: Responsible for design and continuous technical support of the Association's web page and communication systems. Provides creativity, ideas, and expertise to add and maintain all content of the website.
III. Corporate and Alumni Relations Committee: Directly responsible for nurturing existing and forging new relationships with business leaders, academic contacts, and the community at large to create positive and mutually valuable ties between corporate, public, and academic partners and Members
IV. Finance Committee: Responsible for budget and financial planning and reporting. The Chairperson is one of the authorized signers of the Association's bank account together with either the President or the VP and responsible for safe-guarding the Associations' assets. He/she develops and documents rules of disbursements, financing, auditing, and reporting to the officers and Members.
