Accounting students within the Gordon Ford College of Business at WKU, visited three Dishman-McGinnis Elementary School 2nd grade classrooms in Bowling Green to present the penny collection program.

WKU students lead interactive activities that were used to explain why, how, and where people save. Each student received a clear plastic piggy bank and the Berenstain Bears’ Trouble with Money book.

The objective was to teach children about spending money and how saving money adds up over time.
