This course examines the political, socio-cultural, and ecological systems of the world as an essential requisite for geographic understanding. It analyzes the complexity and diversity of the world's peoples and cultures by focusing on distinct geographic regions and their general attributes.

Offered Fall, Spring, Summer. This courses fulfills General Education Category E and is required of all Geography majors and minors. An Honors Section is generally offered every Spring.
