GEOG 475  Supervised Independent Research or Study Abroad Program

CONTENT:  This course offers supervised independent research, working with a faculty member on a project. The Department also offers Study Abroad programs to destinations around the world (see website at Study Abroad for program details).

Effective Fall 2007, all majors in the Geography programs (Major 674) must choose 3 hours of internship, research, or study abroad (or any other non-classroom experience approved by the Department Head) as part of the 36-hour program.
A one-page project proposal signed by the student and supervising faculty member is required in order to register for 3 hours of GEOG 475.
Permission of Instructor, junior or senior standing (sophomores may get department head permission).    3 hours.

OFFERED:  As Required - every semester, including Winter and Summer semesters.
