The Graduate degree programs in Geoscience are designed to prepare students to become candidates for the Ph.D. degree, for careers in Community College teaching, and for careers in industry, business, and commerce. Master's Degree Program graduates pursue careers in cartography and environmental consulting, and enter such government areas as city and regional planning, the park service, and the diplomatic corps. Two Master's Degree Programs are offered in Geography: the Master's Degree in Geoscience and the M.A. Degree in Education with a major or minor in Geography.
