GEOS 502  Geoscience Field Research Methods

CONTENT:  This course is an introduction to Geoscience field techniques and methodologies, including laboratory work. Surveying, sampling, and water testing are emphasized, as are techniques for field work in land-use planning, landscape analysis, site selection, and other key aspects of economic and social geoscience.   Commencing in the Fall 2009 semester, this course will often be team-taught by several professors in different subdisciplines. Prerequisite:  Graduate Student standing.    4 hours.
