GEOG 467G Geography of the Middle East
CONTENT: This course offers a geographic analysis of the physical and
cultural bases of the Middle East. The course deals with the various aspects of
the sequent occupance of southwestern Asia and surrounding regions,
including the former Soviet Central Asian states. Emphasized are the physical
setting, the historic religious geography of the region, and the contemporary
socioeconomic development problems. Prerequisite: Graduate student
standing. 3 hours.
