Courses in Geology provide the basic professional foundation for the scientific investigation of the earth, as well as geological education for the prospective teacher.  Geology courses are designed to develop a theoretical and practical foundation for students interested in pursuing careers in industry and government agencies.   These courses also prepare students for graduate or professional studies in a variety of fields.
