
GEOL 308 Structural Geology
CONTENT: This course introduces students to the mechanics, characteristics,
occurrences, and resultant structures associated with the major processes of
the deformation of the earth's crust. Major structural regions of North
America are discussed. The laboratory emphasizes graphical and
mathematical solutions to structural problems. A field trip is required in this
course. Prerequisite: GEOL111 and GEOL113, and MATH118 (or MATH 116 + 117). 4 hours.
