Applying to WKU and Declaring Your Geology Major
To get started in the Geology Program, you first need to register through the Admissions office. There you can select your incomming status (first time, transfer, graduate student, etc.)
Once you have registered and have received your WKU ID number (e.g. 800 ## ###), you can start your orientation. The Academic Transitions Program (ATP) will greatly help you in getting you started at WKU and launching your studies in the Geology Program. At the bottom of their website, you will be given a flow chart on how to begin the admission process. Just follow those steps from left to right (make a reservation is the first step).
Upon your arrival at WKU, you will go through an orentation and Ogden College of Science and Engineering meeting. At the end of that meeting, a Geology Professor will be there to pick you up for advising. At that point you may declare Geology as your major.
