Recognition

This awards page recognizes the members of our chapter for their accomplishments within and outside the sorority. We would like all students interested in being a part of our chapter to know we put academics first. We support all our members who take part in other organizations, and we work hard in all areas of the community.

In the Community

Not only does November 17th represent the Beta Sigma's anniversary, it is also Gamma Sigma Sigma Day in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The mayor of Bowling Green presented the chapter with a proclaimation in 1984.

White Rose Award Banquet

Usually in the Spring the chapter holds a White Rose Banquet before the end of the academic year. Dinner is provided for friends and family at the banquet, and we may also honor someone with honorary chapter membership at this time.

The following awards are presented each year at the banquet: the Dedication Award, Sisterhood Award, Service Award, Staff Awards, Most Outstanding Officer, Most Outstanding Committee, Most Outstanding Committee Member, Perfect Attendance, Academic Award, Award of Excellence and the Triple Threat Recognition. The Staff Award recognized the members with the top five service hours for the years. The members are given a white staff. The Triple Threat Award recognizes a member with a specific grade point average minimum, service hour amount, and betterment hours.

Nationally

In 2007, our chapter received the Barbara Ferraro Award for Outstanding Collegiate Service Program and the Project IMPACT Award for volunteering at the Salvation Army. At the National Convention in 2005, our advisor Rose Davis received the award for Outstanding Advisor. Rose has been an advisor for Beta Sigma since 1977.
