Faculty Support and Program Development

  • DELO encourages new and experienced leaders to create new programs and to enhance current programs, respectively, through a program development grant.


Standards of Good Practice


Preparedness training and risk management

  • The SAFETI Clearinghouse has emergency planning resources for institutions (h) with the goal to empower students to be prepared and enable them to respond, especially if they are not with the group.
  • The SAFETI Clearinghouse has also developed a few specific documents to help with planning. This includes a sample Emergency Card, steps to develop a Personal Emergency Action Plan, and sample Emergency Action Plan Steps for students found here.
  • The U.S. State Department offers a website for student travel, which includes a printable fill-in-the-blank emergency card.

Mentors and Leadership
