Independent Learning
Veterans Affairs Agreement

In order to receive VA educational benefits for Independent Learning courses, you must complete the following form and submit it to the Veterans Affairs office at WKU.   After completing the form, click the SUBMIT button.  Your request will then be submitted to the Veterans Affairs Office.  The VA Coordinator will contact you via your email address with the required completion date and any other requirements.

You MUST contact the Independent Learning Office at 270-745-4158 in order to register for your courses.

By submission of this form, I verify that I understand each of the following statements: 

1. 


 

I understand that in order for my Independent Learning course(s) to be counted toward my VA certification, I must complete my course work and have taken the final exam by the end of the applicable semester.

2. 


 

I understand that I if I am using financial aid, I cannot take more than fifty percent of my course work by Independent Learning this semester. The other fifty percent of my course work may be either regular classroom instruction or web courses.
3. 


  I understand that my enrollment cannot be certified to VA based on anticipated enrollment in Independent Learning courses and that it is my responsibility to pay for these courses at the time of enrollment.

4. 

 

I understand that it is my responsibility to contact the Veterans Affairs Office at WKU if I must withdraw or drop my Independent Learning course(s) for any reason.
5. 

 

I understand that if I do not complete my course(s) within this time frame I will be assigned an incomplete grade and will not receive additional funds from VA for the time it takes to complete the Independent Learning course(s).
