STUDENT EMPLOYMENT AT WKU

Academic Year and Summer Procedures

  • Student must complete an International Student Waiver and an Employment Eligibility Form (I-9) at WKU's Office of International Programs.
  • Once Student Employment receives the completed forms from the Office of International Programs, the student should print the Application for Student Employment and send it to our office.
  • Once the Application for Student Employment has been processed, the student is sent a Student Referral Slip that lists the Current Job Vacancy website. The student should periodically check the Job Vacancy website for new openings.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to contact those departments with vacancies and arrange for an interview. The student should show the Student Referral Slip to each department that they interview with to confirm eligibility to work on-campus. If hired by a department, the student will then be required to complete the necessary tax forms (K-4, W-4, WSOT). The student must also have applied for and received a Social Security Number prior to being placed on payroll.
