Student Consultant

Duties:
This is a first level support position. The consultant will respond to calls from faculty, staff, and students regarding problems and questions. A consultant will have the ability to log, resolve, escalate, track and close these calls via telephone and hands on.
Required skills:
Undergraduate in good academic standing registered for classes with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Desired ability to lift up to 60 lbs., possess customer service experience, experience with setup, configuration, and support (troubleshooting) of PC hardware and software, Macintosh experience, networking experience, and working knowledge of current operating systems.

Peer Advisor

Work Schedule: Varied work schedule
Duties: Meet with advisees on a regular bases, participate In ATP, attend peer advisor training, provide referrals to appropriate sources, provide guidance and contact to campus resources, act as a role model, follow all confidentiality rules, be reliable, maintain detailed student contact log, assist with developing a study plan, be available a minimum of 10 hrs. weekly, and provide other student center activities as needed.
Required skills: Have a GPA of 2.8 or higher, sophomore or higher, have a positive attitude, understanding of confidentiality and FERPA, strong work ethic, basic knowledge of campus programs, friendly, respectful, and mature, and be reliable.
