Adrianne Browning provides career services to Elizabethtown/Radcliff/Ft.Knox students.
She will be at the Elizabethtown site on the following dates, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (EST). All students are welcome to attend her presentations as follows:
- Thursday, September 10, 2009 - Presentation on Resume and Cover Letter Development (9:30-10:30am and again at 3:30-4:30pm)
- Thursday, October 1, 2009 - Presentation on Interviewing Skills (9:30-10:30am and again at 3:30-4:30pm)
- Thursday, November 12, 2009 - Presentation on how to Network or Not Work (9:30-10:30am and again at 3:30-4:30pm)
- Tuesday, December 1, 2009 - Presentation on I’m Graduating! Now What? Steps to Success (9:30-10:30am and again at 3:30-4:30pm)
New and Improved Career Services Center (CSC) Services
- Interview Stream - This is an on-line tool that allows students to practice their interviewing skills. Feedback can be provided by the CSC Career Counselors.
- FOCUS-2 - This is an on-line, self-guided program that helps students explore and make decisions about their career goals and major areas of study.
- Kentucky Work-Study Program (KWSP) - Eligible students can gain career-related work experience while local employers receive a $2/hour wage reimbursement.
Other CSC Services
- Host TopJobs - This is our career portfolio system and database of local, regional, and national job listings and internship opportunities.
- Career Planning - DISCOVER is an on-line, web-based program that provides assistance in setting career goals, review majors and occupations that match interests and abilities, and help students plan for and obtain career-related experience.
- Internship/Co-op Opportunities - The CSC can help students search for experiential education opportunities, identify desired goals, and collect feedback from students' experience, as well as employer feedback.
- Career Fairs - Our annual fall Career Fair is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, at the Carroll Knicely Conference Center in Bowling Green. More details to come!
