English Club officers, Hilary Harlan, Jesse Wells, and Justin Crenshaw, along with Dr. Alex Poole, offered up their faces to benefit English Club during the fall 2013 semester. They bravely took pies to the face from students, faculty, and staff who payed $2 per pie. Click on the picture or this link to the English Club Photo Gallery to see what happened!

GOLDENROD POETRY CONTEST

Goldenrod is the English Club's annual poetry festival in which students submit up the three poems for consideration. After submissions are turned in, the English club will narrow the poems down to ten finalists. The poems will then be submitted to a guest poet for final judging. The guest poet provides all ten finalists with a workshop and focuses specifically on their submitted works.

2014 was the tenth anniversary of Goldenrod, and the event took place on Tuesday, February 18th with guest poet Matt Hart. In honor of the tenth anniversary, English Club decided to have 11 finalists instead of the usual 10. See the list of finalists here.
