The central theme for the IEEE SoutheastCon 2007 Student Hardware Competition will be BASKETBALL. The competition will be a modified version of basketball played between two robots, with the winning teams advancing to the next round of competition. This will be a double elimination competition with each match lasting five minutes.
Competition Date: March 24, 2007
During this weeks meeting we observed the capabilities and limitations of the ping-pong pitching machine and solenoid designs as well as the CMUCam and its abilities to find the hoop. During the next two weeks a few students have volunteered to work with a few aspects of the Robot design. Our goal for the next two weeks is to obtain a pretty good idea as to what we are going to do. In two weeks we need to start designing the robot and getting things moving.
