Our WKU Engineering Industry Showcase events have been very popular over the past two years with our local and regional industries, our students, and our faculty. They are informal get to know you sessions hosted in our Logan Aluminum engineering conference room on Tuesdays from 4pm-5pm and on Thursdays from 11 am-12 pm. The format includes an informal pizza lunch for our students and guests, a presentation by the company, and a question and answer period for the students. These are great networking opportunities for our students and a great time for industries to get a first hand chance to meet our students. Job opportunities are shared and resumes are exchanged as part of the event. Our students benefit by getting to compare companies, company cultures, and the different roles of practicing engineers within industry. Some companies bring several members of their team such as Human Resource professionals, Engineers, or Plant/Production Managers.
