The Western Kentucky University SWU Survey 2013 is now available.
This year we have created a GeoPDF of the survey map that gives access to some of the attributes of our stormwater utility database using Adobe Reader or Acrobat if users are willing to download a free extension. TerraGo Toolbar can be downloaded from the following web site: http://pages.terragotech.com/terragotechcom-ajfsd/pages/4856c484b07ae211b733d4bed9fa1e9d.html .
This survey began as a class project for CE 300 Floodplain Management in the Fall of 2006. More than 1000 student hours have contributed to this resource.
Western Kentucky University currently has the first and only Floodplain Management Minor in the U.S. Since academic year 2006-2007 38 WKU students have passed the national certification exam to become Certified Floodplain Managers. Click here for more information on the WKU minor in Floodplain Management.
