Hola, and welcome to Segovia Virtual Study Abroad! I am Dr. Melissa Stewart, the resident director of the Kentucky Institute for International Studies program in Segovia. I am an associate professor of Spanish at Western Kentucky University. Having directed our summer program in Segovia during the last four years, I am excited about being here with students for the whole spring semester. Please take a few minutes to get acquainted with the students participating in the program. In these short introductions you will learn a little about why they have chosen to study in Spain. In the coming weeks you will be able to read more about their personal experiences through their Diario and ask questions about their daily life, impressions of the culture, and any other areas that interest you in the Intercambios section.
