Hi! My name is Leah Edwards and I am a junior at Berea College. I have been studying Spanish for about six years, and have always loved the language. My grandfather, a Spanish professor, spoke to me in in Spanish even as a child. Although Spanish is not my major (I am doing a double major in psychology and child development), I recognize how beneficial learning the language will be for me professionally and I plan to teach Spanish to children as well as work with Hispanic children. I have traveled to Spain once before when I was in the 5th grade, but only for a week. I am excited about this trip and look foward to learning about and living in a different culture. | |
