Prerequisites for admission are a GAP score of 3000 (the sum of the GRE Verbal & Quantitative scores multiplied by the overall undergraduate grade point average), secondary teacher certification and either
(1) A bachelors degree in mathematics or
(2) completion of the following undergraduate courses (a) a calculus sequence through multivariable calculus;
(b) linear algebra;
(c) discrete mathematics;
(d) probability or calculus-based statistics;
(e) abstract algebra; and (f) geometry.
Applicants without a bachelors degree in mathematics may be admitted with at most one deficiency in the undergraduate courses listed in (2) above and will have to complete the deficiency in addition to program requirements.
