Bio
Ericka Powell holds three degrees from Western Kentucky University, an Associates in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education, Bachelor of Science in Child Studies with a minor in Family Studies, and also a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. Ericka has eight years experience in working with young children with a variety of delays and disabilities including autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and genetic disorders. Six of those years have been with the WKU’s Renshaw Early Childhood Center. She received the “Service to the Profession” award from the Department of Special Instructional Programs at WKU before graduating in 2009. After graduation, she continued with the WKU-Renshaw ECC and is now the Outreach Coordinator for the program.
Ericka is also currently a First Steps Provider, working as a Developmental Interventionist in the Warren County area.
