 ocated in the center of Western's campus, the Downing University Center (DUC) is truly the hub of WKU activities. Constructed in 1970 and named after former Western president, Dr. Dero Downing, the facility continues to provide a wide variety of services and houses numerous student life, auxiliary services and academic support offices. The student center is the primary dining location on campus, serves as the student organization meeting facility and houses the new Student Success Center , which opened in January of 2006! A variety of student programs occur throughout the year including musical programs, special events, lectures and comedy acts. Check our calendar for upcoming events.
So whether you want to buy books/supplies, enjoy a meal, get involved in leadership/volunteer activities, seek job opportunities, acquire a student ID, find tutoring assistance, buy postal stamps, or just meet friends, the Downing University Center is the place to visit. |
