Services Provided

The DELO Online Learning Research Office (OLRO) provides a variety of services to faculty who have an interest in developing research projects focused on online learning and online education. Services include, but are not limited to:

  • the identification of relevant literature
  • the development of research designs
  • the construction of data collection instruments, including social surveys, qualitative interview guides, and focus groups
  • database management and the merging of existing secondary data sources
  • quantitative data analysis, ranging from basic descriptive statistics to advanced statistical modeling
  • tutorials of qualitative data analysis programs and strategies for the analysis of text-based data
  • the development of formal evaluation studies and experimental and quasi-experimental research designs
  • the identification of internal and external grant funding opportunities
  • grant writing
  • the facilitation of interdisciplinary collaborations
  • experimenting with new learning models
  • mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students wishing to conduct research in online learning/education
  • funding for graduate assistantships
  • funding to create, implement or complete online learning/education research projects
  • potential cost share for grant applications emphasizing online learning/education
