- Developing a Winning Team
The participant will learn: (1) their place in the team and how to work together with
other team members, (2) the goals, roles, and procedures of the team, (3) the most
effective communication patterns in teams, (4) how you can support and sustain effective
communication in teams, (5) the keys to effective team fellowship and leadership.
(6) what distinguishes a team from other groups, (7) characteristics of team functioning,
(8) skills useful to teams, and (9) barriers to effective team functioning.
- Keys to Effective Communication
The participant will learn: (1) their personal listening styles, (2) to inventory
their listening styles, (3) effective nonverbal skills for the workplace, (4) special
skills in active listening to improve both team and interpersonal communication. (5)
the relationship of personality and communicator style, (6) how each person can become
a better communicator as well as interpreter of messages of other people, and (7)
how to enhance communicator style through personality development in the work place.
- Leadership Fundamentals
The participant will learn: (1) basic supervision styles, concepts, and issues, (2)
origins of supervisory and management concepts, (3) requirements for change, flexibility,
and team effort, (4) things a supervisor should and shouldn't do, (5) to create a
positive climate for worker performance, (6) the difference between leadership and
management, (7) how to be perceived as a leader, (8) leadership styles and how to
develop them, (9) to diagnose situations and apply the most effective style, and (10)
to set different expectations for different people.
- Presentation Speaking
The participant will learn: (1) the basic steps in organizing and developing an effective
message, (2) techniques to enhance the style of the message, (3) effective delivery
techniques, (4) tips for managing stage fright, and (5) guidelines for creating and
using visual aids.
- Coaching Employees
The participant will learn: (1) to prepare an employee for coaching, (2) to explain
the goals and objectives of the workplace shared by the supervisor and employee, (3)
to apply coaching skills by facilitating practice, (4) to create a positive atmosphere,
(5) to have employees explain their perceptions of the goals, and (6) to follow up
and follow through on the coaching process.
