Getting the Most out of Your PowerPoint Presentation

One 3-Hour Session
Introduction
This course is designed to give the learner preparation guidelines for delivering presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint software. This course is also intended to allow participants practice creating a presentation and delivering the presentation with presentational "stand up" skills incorporated.
Objectives
The participant will learn 1) the basic steps in organizing and developing an effective message using PowerPoint 2) effective delivery techniques when using PowerPoint as a support tool) and 3) the most effective layouts for slides

- Where and how to position yourself when making a presentation using power point
- Creating effective bullets
- Tips on the use of laptops and projectors when presenting
- Identify strategies for handling stage fright
- Font guidelines
- Outline tips for preparing and using visuals

- Choosing backgrounds, colors and graphics appropriate for the audience
