Session Format:
4 Hours Total (One 4-Hour Session)
Introduction
Trying to get more out of the people you supervise, trying to get them to go that extra mile, isn’t easy. Most employees will tell you that what affects their productivity more than anything else is their immediate supervisor. A good supervisor inspires people to give their all; a bad one inspires them to leave.
Objectives
The participants will recognize: (1) some of their own misguided behavior and the negative effects it can cause and (2) the positive effects of good management on people’s motivation and productivity.
Content Outline
- Eight effective management skills that improve motivation, productivity, and the bottom line.
- How to put into practice behaviors that inspire people rather than alienate them.
Who Should Attend
This seminar is intended for people new to supervisory/management positions, but is also valuable as a refresher course for experienced supervisors.
